4th Shoot - Shipley

This time I'm here with another shoot, and I decided to travel to Shipley. I thought that as it's a smaller town, it would be interesting to see what I could capture and get out of these images. Luckily the day I visited had the markets on so there was a lot of people about. I have used the prime 18-135mm lens for this shoot again because the last shoot went really well. Here are my contact prints:

I think I got some good shots and these images are mainly based around older aged people because Shipley is a small town that is popular for old aged people as it's not too busy, it's not too much of a hassle. Here are some of my images:

In this image, I like the all the bright colours you see from the toys to the clothing. I captured this old aged man who was roaming around the market and thought this was a nice image to portray the market in my street photography. I like how he's got a carrier bag and nothing is staged. It looks like his wife is stood besides him and they're both shopping together.

This next image was taken at a bus stop and I captured this quite quickly while this old aged man was leaning to check the bus times. I like this image because of the way you can see this woman sitting inside the bus stand through the glass. It's also captured the quietness in the area and I thought this represents West Yorkshire as a whole from my perception, because I came from such a busy area.

In the market place, they had this book stand that was outside the high street shops and I thought I'd capture this image of these men looking at the books. I quite like how the man on the far right is actually skimming through the book whilst I shot because it just gives the image more of an effect because there's something going on. But once again, the town in the background isn't overly busy so you can see the quiet side coming through in my images.

Here is a close up shot of an older lady that was looking up at the bus times. I quite like this shot because it was shot over the glass and you can see a glare on her face from the reflection. Also, the bus in the background has given this image a blue tone which actually gives this a cooler tone to the image, and this is effective because it represents loneliness to an extent. This is my interpretation from my image as her facial expression is also captured clearly.

Lastly, this image captured the bus driver stood by the door whilst he just dropped some people off. I thought this was a rare moment because usually the drivers are stuck in their seats until they finish their shift or change drivers. This driver was taking a 10 minute break inbetween so I thought it was a good chance to capture this. I quite like how the frame is filled and you can identify that it's West Yorkshire with the first buses and the red bus stop stands and shelters.
