Now that I've made up my mind about the genre I want to work with and did plenty of research to have a better understanding of it, here's my proposal for this final major project:
The countdown to our final major project has arrived and it is all left down to me. After many thoughts and considerations for my project, I have decided to work with the street photography genre because it was a genre I enjoyed working within some of the units. I believe that I've always included the street element to my work subconsciously throughout and think this is the best time to explore the genre in depth. The working title of my project is called 'Record' and this is inspired for the theme I want to work with as my initial plan. I want to shoot candid and capture different expressions and moments. This idea was influenced by my research like Michele Palazzo who did a lot of candid shots in the streets of New York. My main focus that I want to work towards is capturing what would be as 'everyday life' and this idea came to me as I've only moved here almost 2 years ago so I want to capture the essence of the urban lifestyle & the people in West Yorkshire, and just capture what I've experienced when I moved here. Having this personal touch on this project would really help me with what I'm working towards.

After conducting research on street photography, I
think it's interesting to document the street and shoot images with
the adrenaline because going candid is quite fast paced and it's something
new for me. The target audience of my work would for an audience that is
interested in urban and street photography. I think my images would be suited
for publication that is archived. Ultimately, I do want to design a book
publication and create a visual photobook for my final, which displays my
images. In order to achieve this, I'd want my images to have a common theme so
they all fit together. Along with the digital photography, I will also be doing
some black & white and colour film photography just because I quite like how it gives it
the grainy effect. I will be using VSCOcam for my digital image which is the
editing software I will be using from my research; this will filter my images
so it fits the street theme. As I go along, I will be doing plenty of shoots
inspired by my research in different areas and then editing them similarly for
my idea.
